LED Mushroom Lights
I don’t talk about this a lot, but I really love mushrooms. Not the wacky hallucinogenic kind (though I’m not one to judge), but the kinds you eat or that are pretty or even the ones that aren’t that pretty but still elicit a gasp when you see them in unexpected places. (A previous employer of mine once found a delicate, slender white-capped specimin in his shower stall and for some reason I remember being jealous about it.) Which is why I am nuts about this LED light application. Debuting at Japan’s Design Festa 2010 is GreatMushrooming‘s LED Mushroom Lights. These lamps integrate energy-efficient LED lights and beyond that, they are green because they are embedded in rustic hunks of reclaimed wood.

The LED light bulbs turn on with a turn of a charmingly out of place control knob. And since LED bulbs have longer lifespans, you won’t need to replace these lamps anytime soon. Suffice to say, ME WANTS. Want want want want want.
